    Addressing the meeting, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh – Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee appreciated delegates’ sense of responsibility, research efforts and contributive ideas for the Standing Party Committee’s documents submitted to the Party Executive Committee.

    “2010 is the last year of the 2006-2010 plan. So it is significant that we set 2010 targets and tasks and then implement them. The Standing Party Committee would like all levels of the Party Committee to reach targets set in the Resolution of the 8th Congress of the provincial Party Committee, be well-prepared for organizing all-level Party Congress and aim for the 9th Congress of the provincial Party Committee (2010-2015). In addition, we need to focus investment resources on the development of socio-economic infrastructure; get things like compensation, support and resettlement done well; offer human resources training programs; promote administrative reforms, enhance inspection and raise the awareness of responsibility of those who perform assigned tasks, the heads of government agencies and the heads of the Party Committees” stressed Thanh. Also, he reminded all levels of the Party Committee of seven fundamental issues: take initiative in prediction work, fully grasp the situation and then take timely responsive measures, best facilitate investment and development and implement the provincial Party Committee’s Plan no. 97 on agriculture, rural areas and farmers effectively; have science and technology applied to production; ensure social welfare; make marked changes in government staff management; ensure a good coordination in carrying out tasks and solving arising problems between sectors and levels of government; focus on drawing up documents and human resources plans and have pre-requisites ready for holding the all-level Party Congress successfully and for aiming for the 9th Congress of the provincial Party Committee (2010-2015).

    First of all, apart from implementing the provincial Party Committee’s resolution on 2010 targets and tasks, from the first quarter of 2010 forward it is necessary to prepare plans, programs and solutions that suit each locality and each organization, and continue solutions to assisting businesses and project owners in settling their difficulties. All levels of the Party Committee are required to focus on market control and assure a sufficient supply of emergency goods for the coming Lunar New Year. The Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee suggested that all levels of the Party Committee focus on solving social security, support people in the Lunar New Year; boost up propaganda and launch an emulation movement to welcome the 80th anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the all-level Party Congress.

    On this occasion, Dong Nai Standing Party Committee awarded commendation flags to three organizations accomplishing their tasks successfully and certificates of merit to ten Party committees completing their tasks in 2009.
