The Agriculture Equipment and Technology Fair (Techmart) opened in Long Thanh.

 Participants at the opening ceremony are Mr. Ao Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee; Mr. Bui Van Quyen, Head of Science and Technology Management Unit under Ministry of Science and Technology; leaders of Science and Technology Department of Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong province and Khanh Hoa province; representatives of provincial government agencies; farmers across the province.

This fair is the cooperation between Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province, People’s Committee of Long Thanh District and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. 40 enterprises and institutes with 60 stores take part in the fair.

Like previous ones, this year fair aims to introduce new scientific and technological achievements and products as well as to help local farmers to have chances to approach and to keep up with scientific and technological advances so as to apprehend and apply these achievements in production. 40 enterprises will display agricultural machinery, equipment for processing and preserving agricultural products, planting and breeding techniques, fertilizers and veterinary medicine, etc. Coming to the fair, farmers will have chance to discuss with experts, scientists and technology providers about problems related to agricultural productions as well as to attend forums on agriculture development.

With the motto of “Cooperate to mutually develop”, the 2006 Techmart in Long Thanh district will pave the way for the establishment of dependable partner relationship and create favorable environment for technology and equipment transfer as well as to speed up agricultural development in Dong Nai province.

The Agriculture Equipment and Technology Fair has gradually become one of major scientific and technological activities in Dong Nai province. And it also is a best way to speed up the establishment as well as the development of scientific and technology market, to integrate scientific research and development with production and to honor scientific and technological achievements which give impulses to socioeconomic development
