A get-together to welcome the 79th anniversary of Vietnamese Farmers’ Association

Head of Dong Nai Commission for People Mobilization Work – Bui Ngoc Thanh is awarding commemorative medals to the associations and individuals with great achievements

    Up to now, Dong Nai has had eleven Executive Committees of Farmers’ Association at district levels and a membership of 206,325 farmers. The Association’s members always respond positively to its movements. For instance, the movement “Farmers Are Good at Both Production and Business” attracted the participation of 140,865 households in 2009 (accounting for 107% of plan goals) and the movement “Build Farmers’ Cultural Families” attracted the participation of 191,611 farming households (accounting for 98.87% of plan goals). Especially, Farmers’ Association at all levels collaborated with local authorities, Fatherland Front Committees and Unions in calling for a donation of VND4,672 billion and 23,916 labor days, in building 134 kilometers of rural roads and 489 houses of compassion and in dredging 45,915 meters of inter-field canals.

    On this occasion, 105 senior staffs of the Association who have made a lot of contributions to farmers received commemorative medals “For Vietnamese Farmers”.
