Conference to sum up Party-building work in 2007

On April 1st, Standing Committee of provincial Party Committee held a conference to sum up Party-building work in 2007 and deploy the Regulations by Standing Committee of provincial Party Committee on responsibilities of leaders. Attending the conference were Tran Dinh Thanh – Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Le Hong Phuong – Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, and Vo Van Mot – Chairperson of provincial People’s Committee.

        In 2007, the qualities of Party-building work and the mass mobilisation work were enhanced. 100% of hamlets and wards in the province organized the Party cells. Specially, 125 foreign-invested enterprises and private ones established grass-roots Party organizations with 2,655 Party members. The professional and political knowledge of cadres was built up well including 50% of specialized cadres and commune-level civil servants getting intermediate and high level of politics. In 2007, the Party was evaluated to strongly develop with a growth rate of 8.45%. Mostly Party members admitted are still young, but own high aspiration and beautiful ideal as well as high education.

        At the conference, delegates also strictly criticized themselves to point out shortcomings and obstacles which need to be overcome, say, the violation of some Party members and ineffective administrative reform at all level authorities.

        Addressing at the conference, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh emphasized that Party-building work must consider political theory and thought as a leading work. At the same time, the Party needs to check the situation of Party organizations as well as the cadres’ professional qualifications so as to organize training courses for cadres and Party members.
