Heading towards industrial province in 2015

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has visited and worked in Dong Nai. Speaking at the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh affirmed: The target of Dong Nai 2015 will basically become one industrial province.


​Economic - social development continues 

 Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised the efforts of Dong Nai in 2013, the province still keep pace with high economic growth rate of 11.5%, the economic structure continues to shift in the right direction. Attracting foreign investment reached  1.6 billion USD of the whole year and more than 8,000 billion VND domestically, exports nearly 10.9 billion USD, state budget revenues over 32,000 billion VND. To stabilize production and remove difficulties for enterprises, province also held 7 conferences, had conversation with manufacturing enterprises, and international enterprises inside and outside the industrial park.

Besides, the field of culture - social, ensuring security for people is also emphasized. In 2013, the province had resolved new jobs for over 92 thousands of workers, down nearly 8,000 poor households, bringing the poverty rate to less than 2%; the new rural construction has many changes and aims to build the first new rural districts in the country...

Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh, said the goal of Dong Nai is striving to become an industrial province in 2015, has a dynamic economic structure towards a green economy, making hinges for the development in the future.

 

To achieve that goal, Dong Nai need support from the Government. Being proactive in balancing the provincial budget and major contributions to the central budget , but due to the economy under the direction of export, import and export tax revenues is paid to the State. Dong Nai is proposing to retain revenues in excess of 100 % import and export tax, besides allowing the province to raise domestic revenues up 70 % compared to 51 % of current revenue. In addition, the province also wish to increase the amount of the construction and investment loan capital from 30 % to 60 % to meet demand.

Upgrading infrastructure, administrative reforms to attract investment
 

A major advantage in the coming years, according to Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, Dong Nai system will have completed infrastructure to become the most perfect of the country. The province currently has 13 transportation projects in nature of region, invested by the central government, many projects are particularly important as Ho chi minh city - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway; Bien Hoa - Vung Tau highway, Ben Luc - Long Thanh highway and international airport in Long Thanh in the future ... The big project will contribute to improving infrastructure, open up the economic development strategy of the province.

As an industrial province, Deputy Prime Minister also suggested Dong Nai to reform administrative procedures further to meet the needs of the business. Within attracting foreign investment, Dong Nai need to attract large foreign enterprises with big projects to create momentum of the region and the government is ready to discuss special mechanism for the project as above.

In parallel with the reform of administrative procedures, attracting foreign investment, Dong Nai also need to continue restructuring of State-owned enterprises in the area. "The aim of the restructuring is to do to build a strong business team, based on local advantages to counterbalance the integration with the international economy," Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai identified.
