People’s Committee of Dong Nai province issued a plan no 2455/KH-UBND dated March 27, 2014 on external communication activities in Dong Nai province.
The plan includes:
Organizing training courses on external knowledge for leaders, managers and cadres working on external communication.
Participating in events to promote trade investment and tourism, to introduce products and service of the province to foreign countries.
Promoting the province’s image by unique cultural festivals, bilateral or multilateral exchange of delegates.
Joining fairs, exhibitions, and international conferences on international cooperation, trade promotion, tourism, training program, and historical and cultural activities to promote the local image.
Enhancing collaboration with prestigious news agencies in the country, region or the world; facilitating foreign reporters to visit and produce films about the province; and supporting the oversea Vietnamese in boosting image advertising for the province.
Setting up documentation to introduce and promote the province’s image of people, history, culture, trade marks, potential for cooperation and growth.
Organizing and implementing schemes, projects, propaganda and advertising programs to improve the image of Dong Nai province.
Struggling to respond to distorted, false information that contrasts with policies and guidelines of the Party and State, investment advantage, traditional cultural values, and construction and protection process of Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Subscribing to foreign newspapers or news agencies for information about Dong Nai province in order to encourage communication activities and to remain active to shape public opinion.
In addition, the provincial People’s Committee has assigned tasks for departments and agencies such as Office of provincial People’s Committee; Department of Information and Communications; Department of Foreign Affairs; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Industry and Trade; Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Department of Planning and Investment; the provincial Public Security; Department of Finance; Fatherland Front Committee; Press Agencies; provincial Electronic Portal, and People's Committees at district levels. These authorities should rely on the situation and their duties to draw up specific plans submitted to Office of provincial People’s Committee, Department of Information and Communications which supervise, manage, evaluate efficiency of external communication activities then send a report to provincial People’s Committee (Department of Information and Communication will synthesize reports).
