Socio- economic situation in first 09 months of 2013

​1. Economy:

- Index of Industrial Production (IIP) increased by 7.47% as compared with the same period.

- The total value of agriculture – forestry – aquaculture production reached 18,806.5 billion dong, increasing by 3.5% as compared with the same period. By September 10th, 2013, the total area of winter – spring crop has been 38,119 ha, increasing 1.4% over the same period, the area of summer – fall crop has been 72,236 ha, equivalent to 96.4% over the same period and the area of summer crop (lasting from May or Jun to September or October) is 61,440 ha, equal to 99.4% over the same period.

- Central budget contribution was 69% of estimates for the whole year, increasing 17% over the same period.

- Export turnover enjoyed 69.4% of the plan for the whole year, 5.2% higher than that of the same period. Import turnover was 68.3% of the plan, increasing by 5.5% over the same period. 

- The total retail sales of goods obtained 71.2% of the plan, increasing by 13.8% over the same period. 

- Consumption Price Index of September, 2013 increased by 0.63%, 2.92% and 3.87% as compared with that of August of 2013, December of 2012 and September of 2012, respectively. The price of gold in September of 2013 increased by 2.1% as compared with that in August of 2013 and decreased by 18.92% as compared with that of December in 2012 and 18.54% lower than the same period last year. US Dollar Index in September of 2013 increased by 0.42%, 1.48% and 1.31% as compared with that of August of 2013, December of 2012 and the same period, respectively. 

- Freight transport: the volume of freight increased 7% in transport and 7.4% in rotation over the same period.  

- Passenger transport: increased 7.7% in transport and 8.1% in rotation as compared with the same period. 

- By September 30th, 2013, locally mobilized capital of bank gained 85,877 billion dong, increasing 8.4% as compared with December 31st, 2012. The total balance by the end of September of 2013 reached 73,262 billion dong, 8.2% higher than that of December 31st, 2012. 

- The total investment amount for the locality development achieved 77% of the plan, increasing by 3% over the same period. 

- The total newly granted capital and FDI project reached $ 912.5 million, meeting the plan and accounting for 85.8% of that in the same period last year. In September, the disbursement amount gained $700 million.

- The total domestic investment for development achieved 5,855 billion, accounting for 73.2% as compared with plan, equivalent to 55.3% of that of the same period. 

- The total registered capital of enterprise was 6,901 billion dong (including newly registered and additional capital), accounting for 86.3% of the plan and 78% of that in the same period. Among new registered enterprises, 1,439 established with the total registered capital of 4,699llion and 132 registered additional capital with the total additional capital of 2,202 billion dong. 

2. Society and culture:

- Organized many culture and sport activities to celebrate major holidays: 83 year Anniversary of Vietnamese Communist Party Foundation, 38 year Anniversary of The South Revolution and Country Reunion, 117 year Anniversary of May Day, Communist Party Anniversary Celebration and 2014 Spring Welcome, etc. 

- Cooperated with Provincial Committee Propaganda and Training Department to compose the content of Action plan of Provincial Party Executive Committee to implement the Conclusion No. 51-KL/TW dated 29/10/2012 on “Racial and comprehensive reform in Education and Training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization given the Socialism – oriented market economy and international integration”.

- Guided to perform disease and epidemic prevention and food hygiene and safety around the province.  Attracting and allocating doctors to work in the locality have been enhanced, focusing on providing local wards and communes with doctors. 

- Over the first 9 months: Created new jobs for 79,266 employees, making up for 88.1% of plan, increasing 1% over the same period. And 45,282 people were recruited and trained professionally, accounting for 72.2% of the plan and decreasing 3.3% over the same period.

- Poverty reduction: in the first nine months, provided 4,200 households with loans, achieving 63 billion dong and accounting for 105% of the plan for whole year.  

- Issued the plans on Administration reform, control for State administration reform in 2013, Plan of training conferences on administration reform, administration procedure control and issued Implementation Project on One - stop shop mechanism toward the Inter- agency and modern way in District People’s committee around the province.     .
