Cargill Vietnam becoming sucessful investor in Dong Nai

The company has developed three new animal feed mills in Dong Nai, Can Tho and Hung Yen provinces. Cargill Vietnam also operates a poultry breeding farm and hatchery in Dong Nai province. Besides, the company is a leading commodity trading company in Vietnam. Cargill has been one of the largest buyers of the countrys agricultural products, including soybean meal, rice and rubber. Cargill also supplies fertilizer to Vietnamese farmers and corn and soybean meal to the Vietnamese feed industry as well as for its own account. Its turnover has increased 25 times compared to 1995.

To develop domestic human resources, Cargill Vietnam invited foreign experts to Vietnam to train Vietnamese staff or send them to abroad for attending refresher courses. The company also created the most favorable conditions for the employees to develop their ability. Currently, most of Cargill Vietnam’s management employees are Vietnamese. In the future, Cargill Vietnam will replace its current foreign General Director with Vietnamese because it has confidence in the work force here. In 2004, Cargill Vietnam was ranked as the world’s outstanding affiliate by its parent company. In 2005, the company continues to maintain its position as well as receive other awards.

During the past ten years, Cargill Vietnam has donated over US$450,000 to social activities in the province. Presently, the company is building 2 factories in Can Tho and Long An provinces. In the next time, Cargill Vietnam will launch its two new products including food for frog and grouper.
