NETCO begins “silent” recovery process

NETCO achieved 100 billion VND in turnover in 2004 compared to 65-70 billion VND in previous years. The company’s annual capacity went from 40, 000 tones in previous years to 64,000 tonnes in 2004. In 2005, the company’s revenue is expected to be 60 billion VND higher than that of last year. The capacity will be also 16,000 tonnes higher than that of 2004. This year, 60% of the total turnover generated by NETCO comes from exports, the rest from domestic sales and products supplied under the contract with Unilever. The company plans to pay a 15% dividend to the shareholders in 2005. This presents a 3% increase over 2004.

In the other hand, NETCO has invested to set up its manufacturing unit in Ha Noi with the total production capacity of 40,000 tones per year. The company will boost the production capacity to 150 tonnes per day at the main detergent manufacturing plant in Dong Nai province in rest of the year. Step by step, NETCO gains the trust and confidence of its consumers by providing high quality products to them. Therefore, the company can win back market share. Mr. Pham Quang Hoa, CEO of NET Detergent Joint Stock Company says that NETCO is determined to build a strong and trusted reputation of its quality products though many difficulties face it.

However, the most difficult problem facing NETCO is to seize the domestic market share. Presently, NETCO not only steps up export to foreign markets but also supplies processed products according to contracts signed with Unilever in order to create jobs for laborers and gather experience. Its detergent powders such as "White NET", "NET Vietnam", etc. have gained credibility of domestic customers in the past time because their quality is equivalent to well-known products of joint-venture companies while their price is cheaper. NETCO products aim at medium-income people and workers. The Company will further exert itself to provide safe, reliable and satisfying products aiming to meet increasing demand of customers with the motto of “Effect and Safety”. High quality product and reasonable price offered by NETCO gain the trust among its customers. The company has established a quality management system to the ISO 9002 standard and now is striving for setting up the ISO 14000 Environment Management System. NETCO is making efforts to achieve its long-term goals.
