Social development and economic growth accelerates in Trang Bom district

Traffic system is modernizing in Song Trau commune, Trang Bom district, Dong Nai province.

 In which, industry-construction accounted for 57% of the overall increase of GDP while commerce and services posted 21.8% growth. Besides, the district reached total budget revenue of 271.4 billion VND, loan turnover hit 86.61% or 289.3 billion VND and total capital mobilization of 334 billion VND.  

Additionally, two new cooperatives comprised of Thanh Lam Environmental Sanitation Service Cooperative and Trung Hoa craft cooperative were set up in the district.

According to new standards, the number of poor households only makes up 14.09% of the total population of Trang Bom with 4,907 poor households. The district has built and offered 229 charity houses to local poor households, achieved 79.7% of the target. Furthermore, the district mobilized 128 million VND for "paying debts of gratitude" funds, hit 85.3% of the target. In addition, Trang Bom provided vocational training courses for 2,654 laborers, 77% higher than year target.    

In the other hand, the district organizes celebration activities of great festivals of the year that captures the public’s attention. The district not only cares for spiritual life of local people but also encourages active contributions of people into economic growth and social development.

For the end of 2005, Trang Bom district is striving to achieve the following goals: demolish bamboo houses, cottages and replace with charity houses for the poor in additional 2-3 poor communes of the district, attract more investment flows to the district, develop and promote ways to grow clean vegetables and supply agroproducts with high yield and good quality ….

Significant achievements are gained in the social and economic development in 2005. These are also the basis for setting target 2006 and making development strategy of the district towards the year 2010. These things are laying solid foundation in order to achieve a prosperous future for all in Trang Bom district.
