First-ever congress of Provincial Stamp Association held

Dong Nai Stamp Association is a place for stamp collectors alike to come together for the love of collecting. The great place for those interested in collecting world-wide stamps aiming at absorbing the world’s cultural quintessence. In addition, the national stamp collection also plays an important role to preserve and uphold the national cultural character. The Association consists of about 100 members. Nguyen Minh Tan, Director of the provincial Post Office was elected chairman of the association.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Huynh Van Toi hoped that the association will promote significant activities which help its members explore cultural aspect of national and community life seen through its nations’ postage stamps as well as encourage the creation of new stamps bearing the hallmark of local culture.

A stamp exhibition was kicked off at the Provincial Museum of Dong Nai on the same day. This event was sponsored by the provincial Stamp Association in coordination with Vietnam Stamp Association and HCM City’s Stamp Association and Binh Duong Stamp Association.
