It is estimated that import turnover in July 2011 hits $953 million, up 4% when compared with the previous month, accumulating $6,263 million in seven months, 65% higher than the whole year plan. Major local imports on the rise in the first seven months include raw cashew grain by 15 tons (up 55%); industrial chemicals $219,000 (up nine times); medicines $2.6 billion; production materials $35.2 million, (up 22%); production machineries $1.58 million, and tobacco materials $5.8 million (up 33%).
