On the morning of May 17th, on the occasion of Uncle Ho’s 122th birthday (May 19th), more than 500 Union members attended the meeting held by the HCM Communist Youth Union of Dong Nai at the Provincial Convention and Events center, with witnesses who had the opportunity to meet Uncle Ho in person.
At the meeting, the members listened to Le Dinh Nghiep (former Southern student in Northern area, former Vice President of the Provincial People's Committee) and Tran Dinh Phuong (former bodyguard of Uncle Ho from 1955 to 1964) share their stimulating stories about their first meeting with Uncle Ho, and those years working for him. Le Dinh Nghiep and Tran Dinh Phuong reminded young people to always try their best to learn from real life and the example set forth by Uncle Ho, as he is always the most valuable figure that we can take to reflect ourselves, striving for better personalities and abilities.
On behalf of the HCM Communist Youth Union of Dong Nai, Mr Bui Xuan Thong, the Provincial Secretary of the Union, presented the representatives with flowers. He hoped younger generation would always remember those heartfelt directions from these living witnesses who had the chance to meet and work alongside with Uncle Ho. The youth of Dong Nai have done and continue to do their best to learn from Uncle Ho to improve themselves.
