On the morning of September 19th, in Long Thanh District, provincial People’s Committee announced the establishment of Long Thanh – Nhon Trach regional Vocational College and held the inauguration ceremony of the college.

Long Thanh – Nhon Trach regional Vocational College was established on the basis of upgrading Long Thanh – Nhon Trach regional Vocational School (previously Vocational Training and Job Placement Center). There were 111 officials and teachers (including 20 masters), 1.505 vocational college students of 9 majors. Besides, the school also provides preliminary training for jobs, short-termed rural jobs training and interactive training programs. Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs has chosen the school to invest in training 3 main jobs of the nation: electricity, refrigeration and air conditioning, industrial waste treatment. In the phase of upgrading to vocational college, the school invested over 80bil VND in facilities such as: theoretical and practice rooms, factories… in the total area of 4 ha. In 2012, the school planned to train 3,500 technical labors (not included in short-termed and thematic training).
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri suggested the school continue to reinforce and improve quality of training, professional qualification, political theory for officials and teachers; actively coordinate with enterprises in order to meet the demand on technical labors for the new industrial zone Long Thanh – Nhon Trach.
