While two big cities namely HCMC and Hanoi have July CPI of more than one percent and higher than June (Hanoi ,32%; HCMC 1,07%), Dong Nai’s CPI in July just has 0.96 percent increase, lower than 0.98 percent increase in June, even much lesser than the earlier months.
Ten out of 11 groups of commodities and services with higher CPI than the previous month include two groups with higher than average increase, namely food and eating & drinking services (up 1.67%), in which, food increases by 2.06%; and eating-out by 1.14%.

The CPI in July keeps falling

Price rise speed in the first seven months represents 13.5%. The speed year over year hits 19%.
14,62% . Average CPI in July 2011 in comparison with that in July 2010 rises by 14.62% (price inflation index). Ten out of 11 CPI groups get increased, in which three groups with highest rates include food and eating & drinking services with 23% increase (food, cereal, and eating-out respectively gets 24.9%, 23.7% and 17,5% increase); group of housing, water & electricity, fuel and instruction materials with 17.8% rise and communication 12.2%. Education services have lowest increase of 2.98%.
Among service industries, post and telecommunications group declines slightly since firms constantly offer promotion and discounts.
