“I am looking for chances to develop co-operation between Hungary and Dong Nai”

That is the purpose of Dr. Nyerki József Mihály, consul general of Hungary to Ho Chi Minh City, when he visits Dong Nai province on the morning of April 13, 2005. He questions chairman of the People’s committee of Dong Nai province about socioeconomic developments and the roles of Dong Nai province in key economic hub in the South and its international relations

Talk between Hungarian general consul and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai provinceAfter receiving sincere answers of provincial authority, He asserts that there are not many activities of Hungary government in Viet Nam, especially in Dong Nai province but things would change in future. Therefore, his visit is to looking for chances to develop co-operation between a suitable city of Hungary and Dong Nai province. He’s willing to be a brokage to speed up the process of establishing relation. He hopes that in near future Hungarian investors will invest in Dong Nai and Viet Nam; and  bilateral co-operation between Dong Nai and a city of Hungary will be soon established as to develop economy, commerce and education. Mr. Vo Van Mot, chairman of the People’s committee of Dong Nai province, appreciates general consul’s goodwill to enchance the relation between Dong Nai, in particular, Viet Nam in general and Hungary. He expreses that Dong Nai is approaching European countries, especially eastern European countries. Therefore, the help of Hungary consul general to create relation with a city of Hungary is a good chance to fulfill that task.

Although there are not many aid programe, Hungary has aided Viet Nam with ODA programs. At present, two Hungarian medicine companies has established branch office in Ho Chi Minh City and some investors are co-ordinating with Vietnamese businessmen to established cosmetic companies.
