Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh delivered a directive speech at the conference.
In her welcoming remarks, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang stated that Dong Nai boasts a strongly developed industrial sector, contributing significantly to the country's development. The province has attracted numerous investment projects, both domestic and foreign, in key industrial sectors such as manufacturing, processing, textiles, footwear, and supporting industries.
Despite the progress, many enterprises still use outdated technology and have not invested in research and development, affecting productivity and product quality. Therefore, technology transformation is not only a crucial factor that helps enterprises increase productivity and reduce costs but also a foundation for sustainable and environmentally friendly development. The conference provides an opportunity to assess the current state of Dong Nai's industry, identify opportunities and challenges, and propose feasible solutions to enhance the competitiveness of the province's industrial sector. Through this, it aims to raise awareness and promote technology transformation activities in key sectors and fields, contributing to enhancing industrial competitiveness and attracting new investment areas; developing specialized and highly distinctive industrial zones.

The discussions revolved around issues such as industrial development orientation according to planning; ecological industrial zones; green industrial solutions, digital transformation, technology transformation in production sectors, and seizing opportunities in the digital economy. Additionally, several major enterprises in the province shared their experiences in digital transformation and the application of modern technology in production and business.

The Provincial Party Secretary also affirmed Dong Nai's advantageous position with its airport, seaport, and highways, making it a highly beneficial locality. The current central development axis is shifting towards Cai Mep-Thi Vai and Long Thanh. With such a strategic location, the province will not accept outdated industrial technology. Dong Nai has prided itself on being an early adopter of industrialization, but without transformation, it will increasingly lag behind. Low-tech industries will not be able to compete in the market. These factors are putting increasing pressure on the economy, leaving no alternative but for each enterprise and the industry as a whole to actively transform technology. The province hopes that enterprises in the locality will join hands with the local government in technological innovation and creativity to enhance the province's industrial competitiveness.
