The Production Facility With Over 3 Billion VND Invested in Machinery and Technology

Starting from an initial production base, Mr. Quang established Trang Bau Services Trading Production Company Limited and invested billions of VND in machinery and technology to produce various types of fish sauce. His current goal is to quickly expand the market, fostering development and building the Trang Bau fish sauce brand.

Producing Quality and Safe Products

About five years ago, Mr. Quang's family started making fish sauce using recipes he learned from working at other facilities and companies. Initially, fish sauce was made using traditional fermentation methods in earthenware jars and manually at almost all stages. The raw materials were sourced through contracts with fishing boats to obtain the freshest fish. The fermentation facility was built near the coast (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) to ensure sanitation and avoid affecting local residents. Once the fish sauce matured, it was transported by specialized vehicles to the facility for final processing before being distributed to retail outlets.

However, in the first three years, due to limited resources, fish sauce production was still done traditionally, with all stages performed manually, which was time-consuming and labor-intensive. Realizing that without investing in technology and standardized processing, development would be challenging, Mr. Quang focused resources on investing in machinery, building the brand, and preparing the necessary paperwork to establish the company and secure intellectual property protection.

Since then, Trang Bau Services Trading Production Company Limited has been established, and the Trang Bau fish sauce brand has completed intellectual property registration and has been initially welcomed by consumers. All company products are tested and certified as per regulations. At the production facility, processes are listed and strictly followed, from raw material preparation, quality inspection, and analysis, to product filling, labeling, and finalizing.

To complete the infrastructure and production line to meet food safety and hygiene requirements, Mr. Quang invested nearly 3 billion VND in acquiring modern equipment for filtering impurities, grinding fish sauce, packaging, labeling, and finalizing the product for distribution.

"Technological machinery supports various stages, making it much more convenient to ensure hygiene and safety. Thanks to the machinery, product measurements are accurate, and packaging is sealed according to standards. On each product bottle, even the smallest ones, we emboss the logo to prevent counterfeit products, contributing to protecting the Trang Bau brand," Mr. Quang shared.

Expanding Market Reach

According to Mr. Quang, despite having quality products, like most small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups, expanding market reach and finding outlets for products remains a challenging issue. In reality, when he started investing in production, the market already had many large and small brands. A fledgling brand like Trang Bau had to choose different steps, navigating niche markets and gradually building customer trust.

With the invested technology line, each day, Trang Bau Services Trading Production Company Limited can produce up to tens of tons of fish sauce. Currently, the company has four main product lines: shrimp paste, fermented fish sauce, ground fish sauce, and Hue-style ground fish sauce. Each product type is packaged diversely to suit consumer preferences. The company is promoting and selling through popular online channels such as Facebook, Zalo, Shopee, and introducing directly at a store in Bien Hoa.  

Continuing to expand the market and increase production volume, making products more popular with consumers nationwide, Mr. Tran Kim Quang hopes to receive support and favorable conditions for production space in the future. This would allow the company to invest in and complete additional machinery to form a modern production line, fostering sustainable brand development. ​
