Support to promote local industrial products

The Department of Industry and Trade has just put into operation a showroom, introducing typical rural industrial products of Dong Nai to help businesses, production facilities in the province have a place to promote their products.


Along with that, the Dong Nai e-commerce website that has been put into operation also gives rural industrial products more opportunities to approach customers compared to traditional forms.

More places to display and promote local products

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, every year it organizes voting and awards for typical rural industrial products as well as commending artisans and skilled workers of the province. In 2021, production and business activities of rural industrial establishments face many difficulties, so emulation, selection and contests are also affected. However, 16 products were also selected to be recognized as typical rural industrial products in the past year.

On the basis of the strongly recovering economic situation, in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will promote solutions to support rural industrial establishments in promoting products, selecting awards, creating a premise for Dong Nai's local products reach customers more widely.

In order to support enterprises, cooperatives, rural industrial establishments with places to exchange and display goods and products and find opportunities for cooperation with each other, the Department of Industry and Trade has put into operation a showroom located in the campus of Dong Nai Center for Promotion and Consulting of Industrial Development, on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Quyet Thang Ward, Bien Hoa City.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tri Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, this showroom will create conditions for products to approach customers and partners more conveniently; At the same time, it is also an address for the Department to meet, exchange, build relationships and cooperation in the future.

Mr. Lam Quang Liem, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Center for Promotion and Consulting of Industrial Development said that there are currently 30 enterprises and goods production facilities in the province participating in product displays. In which, mainly products have been certified typical rural industrial products. In the near future, this area will be expanded so that other consuming goods manufacturers of the province can participate.

Promote more support solutions

Mr. Nguyen Tri Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade added that along with the display and introduction of goods, the Department also recently launched the Dong Nai E-commerce website (ecdn.vn), the products of Dong Nai Province have more opportunities to reach customers.

In order to promote industry in general, industry and local products in particular, Dong Nai is trying to implement synchronous solutions to support businesses in developing e-commerce. This is a push to create trust and protect consumers' interests in shopping through ecdn.vn in particular and reputable e-commerce platforms in Vietnam in general. This helps businesses, cooperatives, production and business establishments in the province to cut the intermediary costs, reduce product prices, stimulate consumer demand, and expand consumption markets.

In the tasks and solutions of industrial promotion in the 2021-2025 period to develop rural industries and craft villages in the province, Dong Nai strives to support 47 rural industrial establishments to apply advanced machinery and equipment. The objective is to develop rural craft villages and trades on the basis of applying science and technology to production to diversify products in terms of designs and designs, improve productivity, quality and competitiveness. The province will focus on developing industries with products that are strengths of the province; create jobs and increase income for local people. At the same time, promote economic restructuring towards industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas in association with the implementation of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.
