According to the Department of Construction, in order to plan the construction and development of Long Thanh urban area by 2025 to achieve the criteria of a grade II urban area and form Long Thanh town, at present, the Provincial People's Committee has been considered and authorized by the Prime Minister to establish, approve of tasks and general planning projects of Long Thanh urban area in the period of 2020-2035, with a vision to 2050.
Long Thanh urban area strives to become a
grade II city by 2025.
It is expected that the general planning project of Long Thanh urban area in the period of 2020-2035, with a vision to 2050 will be completed in 2022. After the general planning of Long Thanh urban area is approved, the Provincial People's Committee will continue to implement the project. Currently organizing zoning planning, which will specify functions for each area in the area around Long Thanh International Airport.
Currently, the planning contents around Long Thanh Airport have been coordinated by provincial departments, sectors and Long Thanh District People's Committee with research and planning units to be integrated in the planning content of Long Thanh District with a vision to 2030 and a vision to 2050 is in the process of approval.
