In 2022, the agricultural sector sets a target that the growth rate of the value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production will reach 3-3.5%; strive for the whole province to have at least 18 more communes meeting the newly-advanced rural standards, and four more communes reaching the model new rural area, higher than the target assigned by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council. Accordingly, the agriculture sector has proposed 10 solutions for implementation in the new year, including: focusing on concretizing the plan of the Provincial Party Committee on "Developing hi-tech agriculture, agriculture in the organic direction associated with the processing industry and product consumption markets in the province by 2025”; concentrate resources to form concentrated commodity production zones; accelerate the application of information technology and digital transformation in agriculture; continue to restructure crops and livestock with competitive advantages; improve the quality and performance of agricultural cooperatives.

At the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son emphasized that the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee chose agriculture as a breakthrough because over 60% of the province's population still lives in rural areas, the major of population includes the elderly, children, and the agricultural economy dominates the economy in purely agricultural districts. If the government invest in agricultural development, it can help raise the income of the rural people. If farmers' income is still low, the goals of building new rural areas will be difficult to achieve. The agricultural sector needs a synchronous solution to successfully complete the set tasks. The building of agricultural product linkage chains must be done from reality; localities not only set export targets but also need to attach importance to the domestic market. Localities need to closely follow the program of the agricultural sector and set out goals and effective implementation plans. Here, the leader needs to be determined to supervise, evaluate and find a model suitable for the locality and with high determination to create a breakthrough in agricultural development in the new term.

Concluding at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi asked the whole political system to get involved in implementing solutions for the development of the agricultural sector to achieve the set goals. In particular, the agricultural sector needs to focus on performing 6 key tasks: proactively responding to and adapting to the Covid-19 epidemic; recover the people's lives after the epidemic; from localities to provinces to focus on implementing breakthrough development plans for the agricultural sector; bring policies to the people; Right now, it is necessary to identify what step is the next after completing the building up of the model countryside.

Specific tasks, localities should pay attention to ensuring water sources for winter-spring crop production in the area; regularly monitor, inspect and evaluate the disease prevention and control in plants and animals. For localities with large forest areas, attention should be paid to forest fire prevention and control. Regarding new rural construction, relevant departments, branches and units need to pay attention to timely support localities to effectively implement the program.
