Production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery achieves high growth

WP – Over the year, the agricultural sector has faced many difficulties such as natural disasters and animal husbandry still severely affected by African swine fever; exports of many agricultural products seriously affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, etc. However, the agricultural sector still maintains a good growth rate.

Farmers in Xuan Bac Commune (Xuan Loc district) have shifted extensive orchards to high-yield mangos.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery in the province in 2020 reaches over 43.7 trillion dong, up nearly 3.7% over the same period, exceeding the assigned target and only 3%/ year higher than the national average. In 2021, it is expected to continue maintaining the growth rate of production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery from 3 - 3.5%/ year. The whole province is expected to have at least 50 more OCOP products with 3 stars or more.
