In particular, the reduced area is mainly focused on the group of food crops, mainly rice and corn with an area of over 91.9 thousand hectares, a decrease of nearly 6.5 thousand hectares. The reason for the sharp decrease in the area of rice and corn is due to the low-yield corn area, so people switch to corn for cattle; and some areas are shifted to grow grapes for leaves in Long Khanh City and agarwood trees in Tan Phu District, etc. In addition, in the winter-spring crop, many farmers shift rice and corn areas to cultivate some other crops with higher profits such as vegetables, flowers, and beans.
