Prepare workers and technology for the wood processing industry in 4.0 era.

That was the topic of the seminar organized by the Dong Nai Wood and Handicrafts Association (Dowa) on April 23. Attended the seminar were wood working experts and more than 100 enterprises (enterprises) inside and outside the association.

 


Participated the seminar on wood processing technology , businesses in the industry shared and discussed topics on human resource preparation and introduced outstanding wood working machine technology in 2021; plant design according to Lean product flow method (Lean Factory Design); Effective use of knives and cutting tools in the wood industry…

According to Dowa, in 2020, the wood industry experienced many changes, especially the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic which had a great impact on the world. However, enterprises in the wood industry had tried their best and had grown very strongly in both output and revenue. The country's export turnover of wood and wood products reached nearly 12.4 billion USD, increased more than 16% compared to 2019. It is expected that in 2021, the wood industry will continue to achieve a growth rate of 15% compared to 2020. In Dong Nai, in 2020, export turnover of wood products reached nearly 1.7 billion USD, increased over 11% compared to 2019.

With good growth, new factories and companies established, many factories reorganized production and improved technology lines. In the context of the wood industry facing many opportunities and challenges, it is very important to invest in modern technology and machinery and to recruit and train high human resources. Dowa will continue to carry out thematic activities to support wood businesses to connect trading, well prepare personnel as well as invest in technology according to new trends.
