As for the construction progress, the overall project is 4% behind the initial plan. The reason for the delay is mainly due to the scarcity of materials and backfilling soil, the impact of the weather and COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, some construction contractors have not been implemented drastically, have not actively mobilized equipment and materials.
As for the site clearance of the project, the section of the route through Binh Thuan Province has been basically solved. Currently, there is only the 500 kilovolt power line that has not yet completed the relocation procedure. For the route through Dong Nai Province, there are 11 households in the main route and the core of the intersection, the intersection branch has not yet received compensation. Currently, the construction on the head route section in Dong Nai province is still facing difficulties in backfilling land. The investor and the locality are actively coordinating to solve the problem of filling land sources in December 2021
Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Highway project is 99 kilometers in length, of which the highway through Binh Thuan is 47.67 kilometers long, and the section of highway through Dong Nai is 51.33km long. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
