Nearly 740ha of agricultural land change the purpose of usage

In the land use plan in 2022, Bien Hoa City will change the use purpose of nearly 740ha of agricultural land to non-agricultural land to implement works and projects in many different fields. Most of the converted agricultural land is land for growing annual crops, land for growing perennial crops and land for aquaculture. Localities have many areas that have been converted to land use purposes, including Tam Phuoc Ward about 280ha, Phuoc Tan Ward over 210ha; Long Binh Ward nearly 70ha and Hiep Hoa Ward nearly 50ha.

In fact, very little agricultural land in the wards and communes of Bien Hoa city to use for production and many areas have been converted for other purposes, bringing higher economic efficiency. Currently, the city still has nearly 6,870 hectares of agricultural land and is concentrated in Tam Phuoc, Phuoc Tan, Hiep Hoa, Tan Hanh, Long Binh, and Trang Dai wards.                            ​
