Increase the contribution rate of science, technology and innovation in economic growth

​(News Portal – Dong Nai) - The Department of Science and Technology has organized an advisory council to select organizations and individuals to preside over provincial-level science and technology tasks, with the topic "Research and propose solutions to improve contribution rates of science, technology and innovation in Dong Nai province's economic growth". 

Accordingly, there are 02 participating units registering for selection to implement the project, including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and University of Education (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

The research objective of the project is to clarify the theoretical basis and develop a set of criteria to evaluate the impacts of science, technology and innovation on the economic growth of Dong Nai province. On that basis, proposing solutions to increase the contribution rate of science, technology and innovation in economic growth of Dong Nai province until 2030 and vision to 2050.

Through the explanation of the units participating in the review and based on the evaluation and selection criteria, especially the ability to apply the topic in practice, the council members chose Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the implementation of the project.

The goal of the science and technology sector is that by 2030, Dong Nai will become one of the major science and technology centers of the southern key economic region, achieving the region's advanced level in a number of fields, at the same time expanding science and technology potential to meet the requirements of a modern, smart, synchronous, and developed industrial province in all aspects. In particular, science and technology are identified as the key and innovation is the main force and pillar in socio-economic development. ​
