From 2022, apply the highest emission standards

​Vietnam Register stated that from January 1, 2022, new cars manufactured, assembled and imported must meet emission standards at level 5. Accordingly, new cars before being sold on the market must be issued the register certificates, (for each imported CBU vehicle or for domestically manufactured vehicle models), the factory certificate of the domestically manufactured vehicle to certify that the vehicle meets the Vietnamese technology regulations before take part in traffic. Compared with level 4 (applied in 2017), level 5 emission standards have higher and stricter requirements as well as newer technology.
