The video clip contest for Dong Nai employees to improve their health and prevent the Covid-19 epidemic launched by the Provincial Confederation of Labor over the past 1 month has received received the enthusiastic response and participation of many union members and employees working at units and enterprises in the province.
According to the Provincial Confederation of Labor, the contest aims to strengthen the propaganda on the importance of physical training to improve health and prevent the Covid-19 epidemic, and at the same time, develop the movement of physical training among employees.

The contest was launched on November 12, and the participants are officials, civil servants, public employees, employees of agencies, units and enterprises that meet cultural standards in the province. Accordingly, each union member and employee select an exercise with bare hands, walking or jogging on the machine, yoga, dance, etc. and videotape themselves exercising and sending it to their offices. The contest is divided into 8 age groups with ages 18 and over. The direct superior trade unions at the grassroots level will synthesize and each unit vote for the most 20 excellent video clips to send to the Organizing Committee for grading and awarding.
Immediately after the launch, the immediate superior trade unions at the grassroots level propagated the purpose and meaning of the contest and widely deployed at the grassroots, attracting a large number of employees to participate. The units have also posted the video clips of the contestants on their Facebook page for union members and employees to access to like, share, etc., contributing to promoting the propaganda of the movement in accordance with the current conditions and situation. Accordingly, there have been over 300 sports video clips of selected candidates sent to the Provincial Confederation of Labor so far.
The representative of Bien Hoa City Confederation of Labor said that in the past time, the city's Trade Union has strengthened propaganda about the practical meaning of the contest through Zalo application, Facebook, and the Trade Union group to union members and employees. Thanks to extensive propaganda, creating a spread, good effects attracted union members and employees to participate with 76 video clips of sports exercises. Many videos are highly appreciated in the way of expression, contributing to inspire and improve the health of the community.
Vice Chairman of Long Khanh City Confederation of Labor Le Thanh Tung said that exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, right after launching the contest, the city's Confederation of Labor has promoted propaganda in many forms and received a strong response from union members and employees from units and enterprises. Accordingly, there were 76 video clips of contestants participating in the contest. "In general, the participating spirit of Long Khanh City's employees is very positive, many videos have meticulous and serious investment, showing the passion and meaning of sports training in each exercise" - Tung expressed.
Physical training to prevent the epidemic
As one of the union members who are passionate about sports, as soon as she heard about the contest, Ms. Le Vu Na Uy, working at Cibao Co., Ltd (Long Khanh City) registered to participate. Taking advantage of after work, Ms. Uy recorded a video clip of herself practicing yoga to participate in the competition. This is also the exercise she has chosen to exercise for many years. Ms. Uy said, the contest is very meaningful for many union members and employees to create motivation for health training during the epidemic season.
“I often join fitness clubs to exercise. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, I mainly practice at home in the early morning and evening. The exercise brings flexibility to the body, inspiring to work more actively. Therefore, when I heard about the contest, I quickly participated with the desire to inspire people with a passion for exercise in order to create a habit of health training "- Ms. Uy expressed.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoa, Chairman of the Trade Union of Hoang Van Thu Secondary School (Bien Hoa City) is also a lover of the sport of running. Mr. Hoa said that 5 years ago, when he saw his body showing signs of crisis in middle age, he decided to choose the sport of running to reduce stress. After a period of persistent training, he has returned to a balanced state, his body has been stronger. Participating in this contest, he wants to call on everyone to work hard to have good health, perform 5K well, and contribute to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Ms. Trinh Nhu Y, a teacher from the Union of Huong Duong Kindergarten (Bien Hoa City) participated in the contest with unfamiliar hand exercises that she often teaches her pupils at school. According to Ms. Y, exercising helps herself to feel relaxed and find joy every day. Therefore, she always transmits that energy through exercises to her pupils. Currently, although she has not returned to school, Ms. Y is practicing her exercises at home every day. Ms. Y said that, as a preschool teacher, it is very necessary to be fresh and active, that is the goal that she works hard for and participates in the contest to call on everyone to increase exercise to improve their physical condition.
According to the Provincial Confederation of Labor, as the contest plan, the direct superior trade unions at the grassroots level select about 340 excellent video clips at the grassroots level to participate and send to the Provincial Confederation of Labor. The contest organizers will award 189 prizes to individuals and teams. In which, there are 3 special prizes for candidates with the most interactions like, share, and comment on videos on Facebook of the Provincial Labor Federation. The excellent video clips will be selected and posted on Facebook of the Organizing Committee. Contest results will be announced to union members and employees on December 22.
