The model of organic rice cultivation was implemented in Song Ray commune in Cam My district with an area of 8.5 thousand m2, planting ST24 rice variety. Farmers participating in this pilot model are supported by Que Lam Group with 50% of input materials, sending staff to guide the production process and ensure output. Farmers produce rice organically with 5-NO standards: no herbicides, no preservatives, no chemical pesticides, no residues and toxic chemicals, and no growth drugs. Farmers will apply microbial products to treat straw, rice straw and convert it into fertilizer to create a circular economy in agriculture and protect the environment. As a result of piloting organic rice cultivation in the summer-autumn rice crop in 2022, the yield of organic rice is lower than that of traditional farming, but it produces good quality rice and sells it at a good price, so farmers still make better profits than the traditional method.
Farmers in Đinh Quan district have piloted 2 models of organic pig raising, using biological padding, so the barn has no odor, no waste, and good disease control. Que Lam Group provides sow breed, animal feed, training on organic pig farming knowledge, sends technical staff to the production site to guide and support farmers on the process and technique of taking care of the pigs to grow well. The highlight of this model is that farmers grow bananas and medicinal herbs, taking advantage of local vegetables and agricultural products as raw materials for mixing animal feed; using microbial products provided by the corporation to treat waste in livestock, waste in agricultural production, etc. as microbial organic fertilizers used in cultivation. In the coming time, the above localities will continue to replicate the above models, cultivation will expand more with fruit products.
The above program is part of the content that Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has signed a cooperation agreement with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company in coordinating to build and replicate organic agricultural production models following the chain of production associated with processing and consumption of a number of key products of the province such as livestock products, rice, vegetables of all kinds, fruit trees...
