Attracting 34 new FDI projects

According to the Department of Planning and Investment, from the beginning of the year until now, the province has attracted about 34 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of nearly USD 376.9 million.

At the same time, there were 61 projects to increase capital with a total additional capital of more than USD 535.1 million. Thus, in nearly 9 months of 2022, FDI attraction reached USD 912 million, equal to 92% over the same period last year. The province's plan, in 2022, will attract about USD 1 billion in FDI. It is expected that this year, attracting FDI to the province will exceed the annual plan.

New FDI projects are mostly in the field of supporting industries, with modern and environmentally friendly technologies in line with the requirements of the province. New projects, increasing capital are mostly owned by enterprises from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, ASEAN countries and Europe. Currently, there are many multinational corporations coming to the province planning to invest in the fields of industry, commercial and services, renewable energy and logistics.
