From more than 10 years before, the projects with a high risk of pollution were rejected by the province. The province prioritizes selection of projects in the field of supporting industries, with modern technology and friendly with the environment. In the coming time, Dong Nai is expected to keep selecting modern technology projects with low labor use and high added value”.

* Planning for many industrial zones

The province will give priority and efforts to complete dossiers and invest in technical infrastructure to attract FDI and domestic enterprises to invest in. With the existing foundation, it is expected that in the period of 2021 - 2025, Dong Nai will make breakthroughs in industrial development.

The majority of large corporations in the world have been present in Dong Nai such as Hyosung, Formosa, CP, Amata, Forval, Fujitsu, Chang Shin, Kenda, Cargill, Ajinomoto, Meggitt, Bosch, Schaeffler and so forth. Other multinational corporations are also planning to invest in Dong Nai. The province is a major supplier of supporting industrial products to many domestic and export enterprises. This is a requirement of the Government in industrial development, to be proactive in input, increase localization of products, and take advantage of opportunities for tax incentives brought about by free trade agreements.

Mr. Ahn Seong Ho, Commercial Counselor and Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City advised: “Many Korean corporations and enterprises are looking forward to new investment and expand production in Dong Nai. However, the investment is facing some difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic and has been slowed down.
