Dong Nai adds 1 imported case of Covid-19 infection

On the evening of May 30, Dong Nai province recorded one more Covid-19 case, bring the total number of Covid-19 infections in the province to 32.


Patient was female, 33 years old, address at Thanh Tri district, Hanoi City (code 7042). On May 7, the patient transited from Hungary in France to Vietnam on flight VN10. After landing at Tan Son Nhat airport, the patient was taken to concentrated isolation at the People's Security University, campus 2 (An Phuoc commune, Long Thanh district). Test results on May 29, the patient was positive for SARS-CoV-2, was transferred to isolation and treated at Dong Nai Lung Hospital.

So far, the province has 8 Covid-19 patients being treated at Dong Nai Lung Hospital, 24 cases have been cured and discharged. In addition, there are 303 cases in concentrated isolation (including 93 cases of contact with case F0, 160 cases from foreign epidemic areas, 47 cases from domestic epidemic areas and 3 Covid-19 patients has been cured); Another 192 cases are being isolated at home and 330 need to be monitored for 14 days.

Information from the Provincial Disease Control Center, on May 30, the authorities investigated, traced, sampled and transferred to concentrated isolation 11 cases of F1 returning from the related blockade area to the patients of the cluster of cases at the Renaissance Church, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City. Of which, Trang Bom district had 1 case, Long Khanh had 2, Xuan Loc had 6, Dinh Quan had 1, Long Thanh had 1. Test results had 9/11 cases negative for the first time with SARS-CoV-2, 2 cases was waiting for test results.

The Health sector urges those involved in the cluster of cases of the Renaissance Church to quickly contact the nearest health stations and medical facilities for instructions on handling, to avoid the risk of the disease spreading out to the community.
