Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung informed the delegation about the socio-economic situation of the province, the situation of attracting foreign investment capital in Dong Nai province. Specifically, in Dong Nai province, there were currently 1,581 investment projects from 45 countries and territories with a total registered capital of 33.75 billion USD.

Japan alone currently has 272 projects with a total investment of 5.59 billion USD, ranked third position in the number of projects and total capital of foreign investors in the province. In the first 6 months of 2023, the province has attracted 8 Japanese projects with a total newly registered capital of 8.13 million USD (2 supporting industry projects, 5 solar power projects, 1 project on manufacturing equipment for construction machinery and agricultural machinery).

Dong Nai Province has established the first cooperation relationship with Japanese partners and localities since 2012. After 10 years of implementation, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has so far signed 14 Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) at provincial level and 5 MOUs at departmental level with Japan. At the same time, Dong Nai province established the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association in Dong Nai province in August 2016. Up to now, the Association has 04 branches, nearly 500 members with many exciting and diverse activities, contributing to promoting exchanges and cooperation between the Vietnamese people in general, Dong Nai province in particular and the Japanese people.

2023 is a special year, marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. On this occasion, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province has planned to organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan in the province. The event will contribute to further tightening the cooperation relationship between the two countries in general as well as between Dong Nai province and Japanese partners and localities in particular. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung invited Mr. Mizushima Kozo and the Association's Board of Directors to attend the above celebration in September 2023. The two sides also discussed and exchanged in order to connect and organize economic and cultural exchange activities... on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

Mr. Mizushima Kozo said that JCCH Association currently had 1,049 Japanese enterprises as members, of which 119 Japanese enterprises were investing in Dong Nai province, which was the third largest Japanese business association in foreign countries. At the meeting, Mr. Mizushima Kozo and members of the Delegation thanked the leaders of the province and the departments, agencies and branches of Dong Nai province for supporting, accompanying and creating favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to operate in the locality in the past times. Mr. Mizushima Kozo was very pleased with the information that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee shared about Dong Nai province's plan to expand an additional 6,500 hectares of land for industrial park development along with the construction of infrastructure and connecting traffic routes. Those were the advantages and prospects of Dong Nai province in attracting foreign investors in general, Japanese investors in particular. Mr. Mizushima Kozo said that he would continue to act as a connection to introduce Dong Nai province to Japanese businesses to cooperate and expand investment in Dong Nai province in the coming time.​
