(E. Portal of Dong Nai) – In order to connect traffic for Long Thanh International Airport phase 1, there will be 2 new routes invested and built. Investment preparation as well as site clearance is being accelerated by relevant units.
Paying compensation, support and resettlement money of the first time for the people under route project T1.
Speeding up the site clearance
On May 25, Long Thanh District People's Committee began to pay compensation, support and resettlement money of the first time for households in the project of connecting traffic route No. 1 (T1) of the Long Thanh Airport project. On the first day, 20 households were paid compensation and support money with the amount of about 90 billion VND. "The compensation and support policy has been satisfactorily implemented, so my family also accepts the money to hand over the land early to implement the project," said Mr. Phan Van Tu, a householder who was paid compensation and support in the first time said.
According to Long Thanh District People's Committee, in the first time, there were 291 cases of the project receiving compensation, support and resettlement money with the amount of more than 488 billion VND.
In order to carry out the construction of the road T1, Long Thanh has to recover more than 66 hectares of land belonging to Long An and Long Phuoc communes, of which more than 60.5 hectares of land belonging to the use rights of 321 cases of households and individuals.
Currently, in addition to the cases of approved compensation, support and payment plan in the first time, the authorities of Long Thanh district are also focusing on completing the dossier and approving the compensation, support plan for the remaining cases to make payment soon.
The route T1, in addition to the function of a traffic route connecting Long Thanh Airport, also serves as a public service route for the construction of the project. Therefore, according to the commitment with the Government, Dong Nai will hand over the entire site to build this road in May 2023.
Along with the payment of compensation and support, Long Thanh District authorities also carry out the resettlement consideration for households.
Up to now, Long Thanh district authorities have considered enough conditions to arrange resettlement for 97 households under the project (33 main households and 64 auxiliary households). Among these, 83 households were drawn to the resettlement land location at Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area.
Starting the construction in June
In addition to speeding up the site clearance work, the completion of investment procedures for the route T1 is also being implemented by the investor, Airport Corporation of Vietnam (ACV).
In the middle of last May, ACV conducted bidding for the construction bidding package of making the construction and drawing design for the traffic system connecting routes of 1 and 2 (package 6.12). Bidding package 6.12 with a total value of nearly 2.8 trillion VND was invited to bid in the form of open bidding. The time of the contract implementation is 915 days.
According to the plan, the route T1 with a length of 3.8km will have a first point at the west gate of Long Thanh Airport connecting to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau highway, national highway 51 and the end point connecting with the provincial road 25C.
Mr. Hoang Manh Chi, Deputy Director of the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board said that in June 2023, construction of two traffic routes connecting Long Thanh Airport expected to start.
