Cargill opens its 10th factory in Vietnam

​(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On the morning of September 25^th, Provimi Viet Nam, part of Cargill, Incorporated (USA) held the inauguration ceremony of Provimi Premix Factory in Giang Dien Industrial Park (Trang Bom District). ​​

This is the 10^th factory in Vietnam and the 2^nd factory in Dong Nai, replacing the old factory operating in Bien Hoa II Industrial Park. Attending the inauguration ceremony were Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, the US Embassy in Vietnam, leaders of Cargill, Incorporated and a number of departments and offices of the province.

Mr. Pham Duc Thang, General Director of animal nutrition for Cargill Vietnam and Thailand, said that Provimi Premix Factory had a total investment of about 28 million USD, an area of 3 hectares, and production capacity of 40 thousand tons/year. The premix factory was Cargill's most modern factory in Asia, with an automation rate of more than 95%, ensuring the highest level of quality control for partners and customers. The new factory had outstanding output and advanced technology to contribute to the development of the domestic livestock industry. The plant was expected to significantly improve the accessibility to world-class specialized nutritional and supplement products of livestock, poultry and aquaculture farmers, as well as animal feed manufacturing plants in Vietnam.

At the opening ceremony, Acting Chairman Vo Tan Duc acknowledged and appreciated Cargill's determination and efforts during this project implementation. In particular, the spirit of business activities is inseparable from corporate social responsibility, especially in the company's priority areas of food security, nutrition and sustainable development, as well as charity activities of the Cargill Cares Foundation. The Acting Chairman believed that the success of Cargill Incorporated in general and Provimi in particular would contribute to enhancing the image of Dong Nai with US businesses, serving as a bridge to attract foreign investors to Dong Nai province. In particular, after the leaders of Vietnam and the United States recently issued a joint statement upgrading Vietnam-US relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership, opening a new page in the history of bilateral friendship and cooperation, all for peace, cooperation and sustainable development between two countries. ​
