In 2021, seafood production in the province is estimated at over 71,200 tons, up 6.1% over the same period. In which, fish production increased by 6.73%; shrimp is estimated to increase 1.62%; other aquatic products increased by 1.06%.

This impressive growth is all thanks to the well-developed aquaculture in the province with aquaculture production reaching nearly 65,400 tons, up 6.71% over the same period. Meanwhile, catches of aquatic products reached nearly 5,900 tons, down 0.21% over the same period. This is an impressive growth because in 2021, seafood production was affected by natural disasters. Specifically, storms, heavy rain and hail caused water to rise, causing flooding in communes of Phu Hoa, Phu Vinh, Ngoc Dinh, and Thanh Son of Dinh Quan District causing over 2,000 tons of fish deaths. The loss was estimated at more than VND84 billion.
