At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuong - Deputy Director of Department of Natural Resources and Environment reported the results of the land inventory, mapping the current land use status in Dong Nai in 2019. Accordingly, the province has basically completed the land inventory at 3 levels of commune, district and province, which namely 170/170 communes, 11/11 districts and in province level. Up to now, the system of tables, reports and current maps has been completed as prescribed in Circular No. 27/2018 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

Compared to the results of land inventory in 2014, the total natural area of the province is 586,362 hectares, down to 3,413 hectares, mainly due to the adjustment of the boundary of Go Gia isle, adjustment of the boundary of 513 hectares and re-calculation of the analytical area for each zoning of land types according to regulations; For agricultural land with an area of 463,652 ha, the reduction of 7,251 ha is due to the implementation of non-agricultural works, and at the same time, it was reduced due to the handover of the former Go Gia islet in Nhon Trach district to Ho Chi Minh City under the Government's Resolution. According to the Steering Committee, there are some difficulties in the inventory, such as some positions under the management of defense units but currently there are no declaration units; For rice land and forestry land, there are many changes due to changes in land inventory.

At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Chanh directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with the localities to quickly review at unanimous locations to complete the 2019 land inventory.
