VCCI presents evaluation criteria for Dong Nai’s CPI

Consumer Price Index (CPI) is an index to measure the management performance of local economy through the ideas and assessment of local businesses. An equal comparison of economic management performance between provinces and cities at different development levels is allowed. CPI is the figures to measure local governments’ authority to act on policy suggestions and assist the government in monitoring and assessing the practical implementation of policies.

According to VCCI’s survey, Dong Nai’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2008 was 59.62 points. It was ranked 15th among 64 provinces and cities and ranked first among the group of provinces and cities with a good CPI. In comparison with between-group provinces, many indexes of Dong Nai such as workforce training, the growth of private business sector, time costs, transparency and unofficial costs indicated good assessment.
