The second workshop of Dong Nai delegation in Busan succeeds beyond hopes

Yesterday afternoon May 13, the second workshop with the aim of Korean investment promotion in Dong Nai was held in Busan by the Dong Nai delegation. Busan is not only the 2nd big city and but also one of the major industrial areas in Korea. Mr. Pham Tien Van as the Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea and Mr. Dong-Kon Lee as Deputy President of SBC were present at this workshop. Besides, Mr. Kyu-Jung Song as Chairman of the Busan Industry and Trade Association and Mr. Yen – Cha Park as the Vietnamese Honorary Consulate General to Korea also came there. Furthermore, at the workshop, there were over than 200 attendances who are the potential Korean investors.

An opening statement as expressed by Mr. Dong-Kon Lee was followed by Mr. Pham Tien Van ‘s speech. As the same as the last workshop in Seoul, he mentioned about the good relationship between Vietnam and Korea as well as the existing foreign investment situation in Vietnam, particularly, in Dong Nai. Then, Mr. Vo Van Mot as the Chairman of the Dong Nai Peoples’ Committee informed the attendances of the current situation of the foreign investment attraction in the local and highlighted successful business of some Korean investors in the province including Hwaseung, Choongnam, Hyosung, Daeshin, Taekwang and Happy Cook and so on.

At this workshop, experience on the invested project of Taekwang Vina in Dong Nai was told by Mr. Yen – Cha Park. He also confirmed that Vietnam, in particular, Dong Nai has been developing rapidly. Dong Nai is reliable and promising for Korean investors. In addition, another Korean investors whose businesses are doing in Dong Nai presented further details of their experience.

As the same as the attention of businesses in Seoul, many questions that related to policies of foreign investment attraction, the local workforce, infrastructure and so forth were asked the delegation by the businesses in Busan. Mr. Vo Van Mot and other related one in the delegation answered their queries one by one clearly. Especially, the Korean investors who are doing their businesses in Dong Nai cleared up queries of their fellow-countrymen.

Mr. Dong – Kon Lee highly appreciate results of two workshops that were held by the delegation. He was surprised at special attention of Korean businesses to workshops as well as the number of the attendance that was nearly twofold against its expectation. He hoped that Korean investors would come to Vietnam increasingly in coming years. He also expected that more similar workshops would be held in other places in Korea in the near future.
