According to Dong Nai Department of Statistics, the export turnover of wood and wood-derived products of the province in the first 6 months reaches approximately US$50ml, increases 18.5% comparing with the same period of 2014.
The export market of wood products are favorable. In which, the export has increased in both traditional and new markets.
The main markets for wood product export of Dong Nai are: US, European, Korea, and Japan. Especially, Japan and Korea markets have export turnover of wood products and others rapidly increased because the companies are taking advantages from Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Vietnam – Korea, and Vietnam – Japan. These are also the groups of products that make the trade surplus of $390ml.
According to the forecast of economic experts, the export markets of wood products from now to the end of 2015 still remains in good growth rate, especially after Vietnam signed TPP and FTA with EU.
