Total Import and Export Value Has Risen by 17.2 Percent Over the Past Five Years

Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee’s report shows that total exports in 2006-2010 period increase by 17.2 percent on average, higher than an average of 16.5 percent in 2001-2005 period.Local businesses’ export products are mainly coffee, rubber, cashew nuts, honey, footwear, refined wood products, handicraft ceramic, garment and electronic components.

Especially, export markets are increasingly expanding thanks to Vietnam’s admission to WTO. Vietnam’s major markets are European countries and America accounting for 75 percent and 20 percent, respectively.

The rest is Asian and African markets.

Imported products are mainly medicine, fertilizer, industrial chemicals, production machinery and equipment and production materials.
