Industrial production signals recovery

Dong Nai’s industrial production has achieved recovery and relatively high growth in most economic sectors in the first four months of 2010

Dong Nai’s industrial production value in April, 2010 is estimated at over VND8.9 trillion, up 2.4% against the previous month.

The accumulative value in the first four months of 2010 is approximately VND34 trillion, up 17.2% over the same period, accounting for 34.7% of the year plan.

For major industries, 9 out of 9 industries are expected to grow higher than expected compared with last month.

Accumulatively, 8 out of 9 industries sustain growth over the same period.

Particularly, electricity and water sector achieves the highest growth – 15.6%, followed by wood processing sector – up more than 5.7 % and electrical and electronic sector with the lowest growth – 1.7%.
