Local state-owned sector’s industrial production in April hits VND268.5 billion (or US$12.96 million), up 2.9 percent against the previous month.

Non-state sector’s industrial production in April 2011 hits VND1.24 trillion (or US$60.02 million), up 1.9 percent against the previous month.

Foreign investment sector’s industrial production in April hits VND7.50 trillion (or US$362.02 million), up 1.3 percent against the previous month.
The cumulative total for the past four months of 2011 hits VND28.9 trillion (or US$1.39 billion), up 18.8 percent over the same period, accounting for 31.7 percent according to the year plan.
Some industries have seen an increase in production over the same period.
Food - Beverages, Textile, Garment -Leather Tanning and Dying, Leather Treating and Suitcase Making - Bag Making - Saddle and Mattress Making - Footwear rise by 19.4 percent, 23.6 percent, 21.3 percent and 19.6 percent over the same period, respectively.
It is estimated that 9 out of 9 industries will see an increase in production in April 2011 against the previous month.
According to the cumulative total for the past four months of 2011, 8 out of 9 industries increase over the same period.
