As assigned by the province, from 2001-2005, 941.329 kilometers of medium-tension power lines have been set up, the total capacity of transformer stations is 64,420kVA, all valued at VND140.57bil. This capacity to date has put into use. Besides, low-tension power grids have been set up via local budget and residents’ contribution with the total investment capital of more than VND117bil.
To exploit the rural medium tension grids effectively, the Company, under the People’s Committee’s approval, has built low tension grids for places where ethnic groups and people conferred with title Hero live, with an investment capital valued at VND35.5bil, including capital from the state’s budget, electricity sector’s budget and residents’ contribution.
To meet the demand for power use in rural areas and meet the target that 99 percent of households will have power supplied between 2010 and 2015, the Company has planned to put into use a 110 KV transformer station for Dau Giay, Cam My and Nhon Trach, upgrade medium tension grids to improve electrical quality in rural areas and finish stopping selling electricity through summation meter to improve the quality of power supply.
