According to the cultivation plan proposed by Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, this year’s seasonal crop will have nearly 63 thousand of plants being grown in the entire province, equal to 92.39% compared with the previous year.

Specifically, cereal grain crops account for 49.6 thousand hectares, equal to 98.49% compared with the same period last year, which has a reduction of 763 hectares (inclusive of 511 hectares of rice, 252 hectares of maize due to plant restructuring and land use purpose transformation); cereal crops for tubers are above 1.1 thousand hectares; food crops come up with nearly 8.5 thousand hectares; short-term industrial crops occupy more than 2.5 thousand hectares. The others are annual crops. In order for the seasonal crops achieving high productivity, agricultural sector advise farmers to use disease resistant and prolific seeds. Simultaneously, timely and concurrent seeding should be followed for easy pest and disease management and effective irrigation.
