The industrial production value in Central state-owned enterprises ups 11.6% and foreign-invested enterprises ups 2.2%. Nineteen of the 25 main product groups are higher than that of last month, especially some sectors have the high increase such as power supply and production increases 79.79%, wood processing and wood furniture 7.75%, water supply 9.6%....However, industrial production value of local state-owned enterprises and non-state owned enterprises sustains a drop in August due to decline in major products such as food processing, beverage, tobacco production, garment, footwear, chemical, car repairing, etc. This is caused by unstable consumption. In addition, high input material prices and low sales prices are all threatening to these enterprises because they have to bear competitive pressure from foreign invested enterprises.

In the first eight months of this year, industrial production value in the province hits 27,580 billion VND, 20.3% higher than that of 2004, this accounts for 68.57 % of target 2005.
