Accordingly, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has required the credit institutions to develop the response scenarios in case that the Covid-19 epidemic has continued to complicatedly develop and seriously affect all aspects of the economy in general and the activities of banks in particular.

In addition, the credit institutions must carry out the measures to support their customers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in order to ensure the right regulations and right people. Specifically, they must focus on classifying the customers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and assessing the full repayment ability of the customers in order to ensure the appropriate supports for the impact of the epidemic.

Along with that, the sectors and fields encouraged to serving the production, import and export, international payment, etc., have been prioritized and focused on lending in accordance with the socio-economic development orientation approved by the Party, The National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister. This is to create the conditions for the enterprises and people to access the credit sources in order to restore their production and business after the Covid-19 epidemic.
