Season of export

​In the first 4 months of 2015, Dong Nai’s export turnover reached more than 4.2 billions USD, increasing 7.1 % in comparision with the same period of last year. Although, the export market of provincial enterprises was influenced by the price decrease of Euro, it has been still expanded.


​Only in February of 2015, the export turnover was less than 1 billion USD due to the long Tet holidays. Goods export value in other months surpassed 1 billion USD/ month. 

 

*Lots of groups of products increase
Accoding to Dong Nai Department of Statistics, since the beginning of this year, province’s major products has always had the growth rate of 2 numbers such as: kinds of footwear, textile, computers, electronic products and components, bags, purses, suitcases, hats, textile materials, shoe leather, cashews, peppers...
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, Deputy General Director of Dong Tien Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa City) said: “Europe is the company’s big export market. Euro’s big drop makes a remarkable influence on the company. To compensate for this loss, the company has developed to export products into other markets, such as: the United States, Japan…. In the first 4 months of this year, textile export goods increased 77% in comparision with the same period of last year”. He also announced that Dong Tien had always been expanding its production to meet big export orders.

Similarly, in the first months of this year, a great deal of provincial enterprises expanded their export markets to other countries. Other foreign countries have more tendancy to import goods from Viet Nam to enjoy preferential tariffs. “In the first months of 2015, the company’s export on electronic components, products increased in both quality and quantity. The company’s biggest markets are Japan, ASEAN countries and Europe. At the end of this year, ASEAN economic community which will be established will bring out more favorable conditions for export” – Mr. Le Duc Vinh , Director of Administration and Human Resource – Fujitsu Computer Products of Viet Nam, Inc. in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Zone shared the above information.

More than 80% of Dong Nai Provincial export turnover belong to FDI enterprises. For recent 2 years, FDI enterprises have tendancy to move their plants to Vietnam, especially Dong Nay to actively prepare for TPP accession and other new Trade Agreements. These enterprises are giving priorities to look for the material supply in Vietnam in order to enjoy preferential treatments when the Ageements are adopted. This is shown by the high trade surplus in the first months.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang – Import & Export Staff of Taicera Granite Ceramic &Porcelain Tiles Company in Go Dau Industrial Zone (Long Thanh District) – one of three biggest ceramic producers in Dong Nay, said: “Aproximately 60% of company’s products are exported to South America and Europe market. Now, the companies are expanding its market to TPP, ASEAN countries to enjoy the preferential tax”. Enterprise owners who has exported products said they were thinking and choosing the solutions to compete with goods in ASEAN, TPP countries and increase goods export opportunities in potential markets, such as: the United States, Japan, Chile … According to Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Department of Tax, FDI enterprises have prepared for TPP quite soon. They regularly contact the Customs for information to set up the appropriate production plan.
