After 3 working days in a highly responsible manner, the provincial People’s Council term VIII’s 16th meeting has finished its agenda as expected and come to an end. The meeting sessions have reviewed and approved 16 resolutions including 9 regular and 7 thematic ones as the basis for the provincial People’s Committee to lead and direct the implementation of all targets and missions for socioeconomic development set forth in 2016 and the coming years.

Speaking at the ending session, Chairman of provincial People’s Council Tran Van Tu emphasized that, as for socio-economic development and national defense and security in 2016, the provincial People’s Council had unanimously approved 7 major solution groups: continuing to strongly implement Resolution 19/NQ-CP on major missions and resolution for business environment improvement and national competitiveness enhancement in 2015 and 2016 dated December 3rd 2015 of the Government; continuing to promote trading activities, effectively exploiting export markets; implementing the resolutions to promote the advantages of strategic products in the context of integration; focusing on deploying and implementing breakthrough development missions, continuing to attract investment, enhancing support for enterprises, promoting economic restructuring; focusing on investing in social infrastructures and high-quality services in order to improve people’s quality of life; effectively implementing the resolutions to support farmers and agricultural enterprises in their production and consumption; implementing resolutions to develop high-quality labor force and resolutions for cultural and social development; paying attention to improving state management, promoting administrative reform and building new government targeted to serve the people; promoting natural resource management, environmental protection, natural disaster prevention and response to climate change; focusing on allocating land and issuing land use right certificates to individuals and organizations; promoting political security and social order and safety…
According to the direction of the Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, 2016 is the final year of People’s Council and People’s Committee terms, also the first year to implement the 5-year (2016-2020) plans for socio-economic development and national defense and security, the provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee must continue to enhance the cooperation in accordance with the proposed regulations, especially the cooperation in organizing the ending session of 2011-2016 term of the provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee; well organize the election for members of the National Assembly term XIV and delegates of the People’s Council of all levels term 2016 – 2021. Right after the meeting sessions, Standing members of the People’s Council, People’s Committee, Departments of the People’s Council, People’s Court, People’s Procuracy, all sectors and levels must set up programs and plans to implement the resolutions approved by the People’ Council; give prominence to the responsibilities for management and leadership before the people; enhance the propagation and education in order to raise awareness and responsibilities of the whole political system, strive to successfully fulfill all missions and targets set forth in 2016 and 5-year (2016-2020) plans for socio-economic development and national defense and security.
